Happy Veteran's Day. . . .

Sending out a big thank you to all of our servicemen and women who have fought so valiantly, whether in our recent wars in Iraq and Afghanistan or in any of the previous wars in which our country has been involved. Much as I hate war and love peace, I recognize the sacrifices that soldiers and their families have made in the name of freedom.

I'm also posting (hopefully) a 'seize the day' graphic that I came across recently, and which makes me stop and think every time I see it. Notice that nowhere does it say that happiness lies in the amount of money or 'stuff' in our lives. . . . Enjoy!

Have a lovely day, all, and stay tuned for a post about my Next Big Thing (for after I've conquered my debt, that is!)

Nice of you to honor the vets! Also, great saying that you posted on your blog. I don't think it is written that happiness is related to money, but many associate it with it. Sometime people argue that if they had enough money they would be happier. On the one hand I can see that point, but on the other hand, does it then consume you? Will you ever be happy enough?

What a lovely, thoughtful post!

I'm a new reader to your blog, and I can relate to a lot of what you're going through, down to the 4 jobs at a time!

Just curious: how do you like the teaching gig? My part-time teaching job is actually my main source of income, and I blog about it fairly often.

Hope to hear more from you soon.
